The rose plant was in full growth
A bud appeared on it in dream
All eagerly waited to glimpse its grace
It dreamt for its bloom for beauty
One fine morn it bloomed to the full,
A million-petaled flower
All eyes fell on its charming treasure
It gladdened hearts, sweetened weather
By its fragrance par excellence.
The rose plant’s bliss knew no bounds
The viewers assessed its beauty
It looked a queen in her crown
In pride, in dignity, its majesty.
I started to sketch it in my words
Its beauty, the viewers’ plenty.
I wished it to remain full and ever
To all eyes delightful.
Suddenly there arose a heavy storm
It ruffled all and disrupted all
From earth to sky
The rose plant tossed its head
Up and down to all sides
I was startled to see it ruffled
A petal fell onto the ground
It was sorry in pitiable looks
The storm raised its force
One more petal flew away
One by one for my stun
All petals blew away with the wind
I find my words wind swept.
